The short version
SnapaPdf processes your files entirely in your browser. We don't have servers that receive, store, or analyse your documents. There is nothing for us to leak, sell, or hand over because the data never leaves your device.
What we collect
Files: Nothing. Your PDFs, images, and documents stay in your browser's memory and are deleted when you close the tab. You can verify this by opening DevTools → Network tab while processing a file, no requests carrying your data will appear.
Account info: We don't have accounts. There is no sign-up, login, or profile.
Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated page-view data using a privacy-respecting analytics provider (such as Plausible). This includes page URL, referrer, browser, and country, but never your IP address, no cookies, no fingerprinting, and no personal information.
Local storage: Your theme preference and tool presets are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.
Third-party services
Everything the app needs, the PDF libraries, the OCR engine, fonts, is bundled and served from the same place as the app itself. There are no third-party CDN calls, no font-provider requests, no analytics. Open your Network tab and watch: after the initial page load, nothing else is fetched. Your files never leave your device.
If you have specific concerns, you can self-host SnapaPdf on your own machine, the source is open and the libraries are bundled-friendly.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies.
GDPR / CCPA / your rights
Because we don't store personal data on our servers, most data-subject rights (access, deletion, portability) are automatically satisfied, there is no data to access or delete. If you have stored items in your browser's localStorage, you can clear them via browser settings.
Children
SnapaPdf is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone, adults included.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the date at the top of this page. The current version is always available at this URL.
