Open DevTools → Network tab → process a file. You'll see zero requests carrying your data. We can't access your files because there's no server in the loop.
58 fully working tools that match every paid PDF site, without ever sending your file to a server. Built for people who actually read terms of service.
All tools work the same way: choose one, drop a file, configure, save. Nothing leaves your device.
Every other PDF site uploads your file to a server, queues your job behind other users, then asks for €7/month when the queue gets too long. We don't.
Open DevTools → Network tab → process a file. You'll see zero requests carrying your data. We can't access your files because there's no server in the loop.
Other sites upload → queue → process → download. We skip the upload and the queue. A 50MB file finishes here before the equivalent upload would even start.
No "2 tasks per hour", no 100MB cap, no upsell. Every tool is unlimited because they cost us nothing to run, your CPU does the work.
Install as a Progressive Web App and use without internet. Perfect for sensitive documents on a flight or in a secure environment.

I built SnapaPdf after spending an afternoon trying to merge a 30MB report on a popular PDF site. It uploaded for two minutes, failed silently, then asked for €7/month to "remove the queue limit". Meanwhile my browser had every byte of the file in memory the whole time.
Every operation those sites perform, merging, splitting, compressing, OCR, even encryption, can be done locally in JavaScript using libraries that have existed for years. There's no technical reason to upload anything. The only reason it works that way is that selling subscriptions requires a server in the loop.
SnapaPdf is the version of those tools that doesn't waste your time, your bandwidth, or your trust. It's free because it costs us nothing meaningful to run, and it'll stay free.
Every tool, every feature, no daily limit, no upsell. We don't have servers processing your files, so we have nothing to charge for. The tools will always be free and ad-free.
Yes. Open your browser's Network tab (F12 → Network) and watch what happens when you process a file: nothing leaves your device. The PDF libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js) run as JavaScript in your browser and operate on a copy of the file held in memory. When you close the tab, that memory is freed and the file is gone.
Very accurate for typed PDFs. Tables work well when the source has clean structure. Scanned PDFs need OCR first (use the OCR tool, then convert).
No limit from us. The practical limit is your device's available memory, most modern phones and laptops handle 500MB+ comfortably.
Yes. We use the browser's Web Crypto API to AES-256-GCM encrypt your PDF with a key derived from your password using PBKDF2 (100,000 iterations). The encrypted file is wrapped in a self-contained HTML viewer that anyone you send it to can unlock with the password.
Tesseract.js, a port of Google's open-source OCR engine compiled to WebAssembly. Runs entirely client-side. The English model (~2MB) is bundled with the app, so OCR works fully offline with nothing fetched or sent, about 1–3 seconds per page on a modern device.
Yes. After your first visit it works without internet. Install it as an app: Chrome/Edge → menu → "Install SnapaPdf". Safari → Share → "Add to Home Screen".
Yes. SnapaPdf is free for personal and commercial work, with unlimited files. The only thing you can't do is copy or clone the site itself: the design and code are © SnapaPdf, all rights reserved. Your files stay on your device, so there is nothing for us to keep confidential in the first place.
You don't have to take my word for it. The code is readable in your browser, and there is no account or database that could be breached. Open the Network tab in developer tools and run any tool. You will see no upload.
I add new tools fairly often, and an offline desktop version is in progress: a one-off purchase, never a subscription. Leave your address and I will let you know when something new lands.
Only occasional updates, no marketing lists and no third parties. You can reply “stop” at any time. It opens your own email app. Nothing is sent from this page, and no tracking script runs here.
There are no ads, no accounts and no upload limits, so the site earns nothing on its own. If it saved you paying for something else today, a one-off tip covers the domain and the time to keep building.
Tipping is entirely optional and unlocks nothing, every tool stays free and unlimited either way.
If a tool gave you a broken file or would not run, tell me which one and what you did. That is usually enough for me to reproduce it and fix it. Ideas for new tools are just as welcome.
This opens your own email app with the details filled in. Nothing is sent from this page. No file names or file contents are ever included.
